Subscriptions
Subscriptions from September 2024 will be £72 for the Autumn and Spring terms and £36 for the Summer term if paying termly. (Note for those paying for the whole year from September: subs are £170, saving £10). Please note we no longer want members to pay for both the hire/purchase of music and subs together as it makes accounts tricky.
You will need to pay for music immediately when you collect it: card payment/cash preferred but cheques can also be accepted. Please arrive early at the start of term in order to collect music and have time to go to the ‘Pay desk’.
Annual subs need to be paid by the end of September. Termly subs must be paid by the end of the second week into the term. Cheques can be accepted but bank transfers are preferred.
New joiners trying out choir: we request that you pay the full termly fee or annual rate once you have been along to two rehearsals and have decided you wish to join us. We hope you decide to stay!
Details for bank transfers: Gravesham Choral Society, CAF Bank Ltd, Sort code 40-52-40, Account number 00009075
Please include your name as a reference on bank transfers so our treasurer can identify you.

Another choral society created a pronunciation guide for the German which members may find helpful. The only thing that appears to be missing is that Z is pronounced Ts. Ignore the first page of the PDF and find the pronunciation guide below. Click HERE for the PDF.
A clear, straighforward translation of the German text into English is attached. Click HERE for the PDF. NB, this was scanned in from an old copy so screen quality is not perfect, but it will print fine.
There are various online practise versions, but this is one of them. https://cyberbass.org/Major_Works/Brahms_J/Brahms_GermanRequiem.htm
